Feasibility Study

To be conducted in Nepal in November of 2011.

This will include: local partner organization meetings in Kathmandu and three field research visits to rural Nepal. The goal of this study is to identify the location and Nepali non-profit partner for our first project, to be launched in early Spring 2012.


Experience





Scott Rosefield holds an MA in International Affairs with an emphasis on post-conflict development in South Asia.  In the summer of 2009 he spent time doing research on the conflict in Nepal, which included living with a Nepali family for two months, along with extensive visits into the field.  While in Nepal, Scott had an article published on post-conflict issues in Nepal by the Himalayan Times.  Last summer, Scott was the Project Coordinator for a Ford Foundation funded education project that took place in Kunming, China and Kolkata, India.  During this time, he was employed by the India China Institute in New York City working on a number of issues related to South Asia.
                                                                                                               
Katie Feit is finishing her MA in International Affairs and is writing her thesis on international education projects in Nepal.   Her specialty is the Nepal/India border and the marginalized Nepali communities that live along it.  Katie spent the summer of 2010 living and working in Kathmandu, while doing research throughout the country.  She also had an article published by the Kathmandu Post on Nepal’s continuing issues with India. Katie is employed by the India China Institute in New York City where she is currently working on managing ICI sponsored professional and student fellows all over China and India.
